Data Protection Act 2020

regulates how personal and sensitive information is collected, used, and stored, ensuring individuals’ privacy and data security. The Act grants individuals rights over their data and requires organizations to handle it responsibly.

Access to Information 2002

grants Jamaicans the right to access government records, promoting transparency and accountability. Some documents are however exempt and are not accessible for public review in accordance with the Act.

National Risk Assessment

As the competent authority for the Registered Charitable Organization, we are pleased to share the public version of Jamaica's Third National Risk Assessment (NRA3). The NRA3 provides a comprehensive assessment of Jamaica's money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing risks for the period 2020–2025. It offers an updated understanding of the country’s money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), and proliferation financing (PF) risks. The assessment was coordinated through the NAMLC Risk Sub-Committee and benefited from the active participation of NAMLC members, including the Department of Co-operative and Friendly Societies (DCFS), as well as relevant public sector agencies.
